1. Eligibility and account requirements
You may use Stakeet only if you:
- are at least 18 years old and have reached the legal age for paid prediction or gaming activity in your jurisdiction;
- have legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement;
- are physically located in a jurisdiction where Stakeet makes the relevant service available;
- are not prohibited, self-excluded, sanctioned, or otherwise restricted from participating; and
- use an account and payment method registered in your own name.
You must provide accurate, current information and keep your login credentials secure. You may not create multiple accounts, transfer your account, allow another person to use it, or use another person's account. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly notify us of unauthorized access.
We may require identity, age, location, payment-source, anti-money-laundering, sanctions, or other verification before allowing deposits, entries, payouts, or withdrawals. We may restrict or close accounts that cannot be verified.
2. What Stakeet provides
Stakeet allows eligible users to create or join pools concerning objectively verifiable future events. Participants submit a prediction and pay the entry amount displayed for that pool. Qualifying entries share the available prize pool after the disclosed platform fee and any permitted adjustments.
Pool entries do not use participant-selected odds and do not require an opposing position to be matched. A valid accepted entry joins the pool immediately, subject to payment confirmation and these Terms. The number of participants and estimated prize pool may change until entries close.
Stakeet may create pools itself, approve user-created pools, use automated systems to improve pool wording and configuration, and reject or cancel pools that are unclear, unlawful, unsafe, duplicative, technically defective, or not objectively resolvable.
3. Types of prediction pools
3.1 Whole-number pools
A whole-number pool requires a non-negative integer prediction, such as total goals, total points, views, likes, or streams. A decimal or negative entry is not valid unless the pool expressly states otherwise.
3.2 Decimal-number pools
A decimal-number pool accepts a non-negative decimal prediction, such as a stock closing price, cryptocurrency price, or foreign exchange rate. The question will identify the applicable unit, currency, pair, measurement time, and any relevant market-close convention.
3.3 Option pools
An option pool requires you to select one of the choices shown. Only one choice will be treated as the correct result. You cannot submit an option that is not listed for that pool.
4. Entry amount and entry closing time
The entry amount is displayed before you join and is charged when your entry is accepted. Although Stakeet may use a standard entry amount, including ₦2,000 for some pools, entry amounts can differ by pool, country, currency, or promotion. The amount shown in the final confirmation screen controls.
Each pool has an entry closing time and a result date or measurement time. Stakeet may select the closing time using automated or manual review to reduce the risk that users wait until an outcome becomes substantially known. The result date is not necessarily the same as the entry closing time.
Your entry must be received and payment confirmed before the closing time. Starting a payment or submission before closing does not guarantee acceptance if it completes afterward. We may close a pool early where required for fairness, integrity, compliance, safety, or technical reasons.
5. Winning rules
Every pool displays its prediction type, winning rule, entry amount, closing time, result time, platform fee, and a plain-language explanation before you confirm an entry. Review these terms carefully because different pools can use different rules.
5.1 Correct option
Entries selecting the option that matches the verified result qualify as winners. If nobody selected the correct option, the pool is refunded unless the pool-specific rules disclosed before entry provide another lawful treatment.
5.2 Percentage tolerance
For a percentage-tolerance pool, Stakeet compares each valid prediction with the verified numeric result. Unless a different sequence is displayed before entry, settlement works as follows:
- entries within 5% of the result qualify;
- if nobody qualifies within 5%, entries within 10% qualify;
- if nobody qualifies within 10%, entries within 20% qualify;
- if nobody qualifies within 20%, the closest prediction or tied closest predictions qualify.
Only the first tolerance level containing at least one qualifying entry is used. For example, if at least one entry is within 5%, entries that are only within 10% or 20% do not qualify. When the verified result is zero, exact zero predictions qualify; if there are none, the closest-prediction rule applies.
5.3 Closest prediction
The valid prediction with the smallest absolute difference from the verified numeric result qualifies. If multiple entries have the same smallest difference, all tied entries qualify.
6. Early-entry payout weighting
A qualifying entry's share may depend on when it was submitted. For pools displaying the early-entry rule, entries made earlier receive a higher payout weight because they were submitted when more uncertainty remained.
Unless the pool displays a different rule, the weight decreases gradually from approximately 1.5 at the time the pool opens to 1.0 at the entry closing time. A qualifying entry's payout is calculated proportionally:
Individual payout = available prize pool × individual entry weight ÷ total weight of all qualifying entries.
Early-entry weighting affects only how qualifying winners divide the prize pool. It does not change whether a prediction qualifies. If early-entry weighting is not displayed for a pool, qualifying entries divide the prize pool equally, subject to rounding.
7. Prize pool, fees, and rounding
The gross pool generally consists of accepted entry amounts. Stakeet deducts the platform fee displayed before entry and distributes the remaining amount as the available prize pool. The standard platform fee may be 5%, but the displayed fee for the specific pool controls.
Displayed prize pools may be estimates while entries remain open. The final pool may be adjusted for failed payments, chargebacks, refunds, invalid or duplicate entries, promotional funding, taxes, or other corrections permitted by these Terms.
Payouts are rounded to the smallest supported currency unit. Where rounding creates a remainder, Stakeet uses a consistent, deterministic allocation method. Rounding will not cause total participant payouts to exceed the available prize pool.
8. Bonuses and promotional funds
Bonuses, rewards, referral credits, and promotional funds may have separate eligibility, expiry, usage, and withdrawal rules. Non-withdrawable promotional funds do not become withdrawable merely because they were used to enter a pool. Stakeet may deduct or reclaim the non-withdrawable portion when calculating a payout or refund, as disclosed by the applicable promotion.
9. Result determination and settlement
9.1 Resolution criteria
Stakeet resolves each pool using the question as finally displayed, including its named event, metric, unit, currency, market, measurement time, and other stated conditions. Where a question specifies regulation time, market close, a particular quarter or half, or another boundary, that boundary controls.
9.2 Sources and automated assistance
Stakeet may use official results, platform APIs, exchange or market data, public records, reputable independent sources, internal timestamped metric records, referees, reviewers, and automated or artificial-intelligence tools to assist with verification. Automated output is not guaranteed to be error-free and may be escalated to manual review.
For a metric measured at a particular time, Stakeet may use the reliable observation closest to that time where an exact timestamped observation is unavailable. We may delay settlement when sources are stale, incomplete, inconsistent, unavailable, or subject to correction.
9.3 Postponed, cancelled, corrected, or unavailable results
Stakeet may delay, cancel, void, or refund a pool if the event is postponed, abandoned, materially changed, incorrectly described, not independently verifiable, affected by a data-source failure, or otherwise cannot be fairly resolved under the displayed terms. We may wait for an official correction before settling.
9.4 Settlement timing
We aim to settle promptly after a result becomes reliably verifiable, but no settlement time is guaranteed. Complex, disputed, delayed, or corrected results may require additional review.
10. Incorrect adjudication and settlement correction
If Stakeet discovers that a pool was settled using an incorrect result, source, calculation, winner set, fee, or payout, we may reopen and correct the settlement. This may include reversing prior wallet credits or debits, applying the corrected result, recalculating qualifying entries and time weights, refunding entries, and issuing corrected payouts.
A correction may reduce your wallet balance. We may offset an amount owed against your current or future wallet balance, winnings, refunds, rewards, or deposits; temporarily restrict withdrawals; request repayment; or suspend the account while the correction is resolved. We will provide notice of a material correction where reasonably practicable.
Settlement corrections do not entitle participants collectively to more than the corrected available prize pool. Deliberately withdrawing or transferring funds that you know were credited in error may result in account restriction and recovery action.
11. Entry finality, cancellations, and refunds
Once accepted, an entry and its prediction are final and cannot ordinarily be edited, transferred, or cancelled. This protects pool integrity and prevents changes based on later information.
Refunds are provided only where required by applicable law, these Terms, the displayed pool rules, or a decision by Stakeet. A refund is generally returned to the original wallet balance or funding type. Promotional funds may be restored as promotional funds with their original or replacement restrictions and expiry.
12. User-created pools
Eligible users may propose prediction pools. Stakeet may use automated systems to classify the pool as whole-number, decimal, or option-based; rewrite the question for clarity; supply or edit option choices; select a winning rule; and determine an entry closing time. The creator will be shown the final proposed pool before submission or publication where the product flow provides a confirmation step.
A proposed pool must:
- concern a future event or future measurement;
- be clear, objective, and independently verifiable;
- identify necessary units, currencies, dates, and times;
- provide mutually exclusive choices where an option pool is used;
- not rely on private or unlawfully obtained information; and
- comply with these Terms and applicable law.
Submission does not guarantee approval or publication. Stakeet may reject, edit, unpublish, cancel, or limit a pool. Any creator reward or commission must be displayed or governed by separate creator terms; creating a pool does not automatically entitle the creator to participant funds.
13. Free pools, points, and competitions
Stakeet may offer free prediction pools, points, leaderboards, jackpots, or knowledge competitions. Their scoring, time limits, qualification thresholds, prize amounts, early-entry rules, and conversion rules will be displayed in the applicable feature or promotional terms.
Points have no cash value unless Stakeet expressly offers a conversion feature. Conversion rates, minimum thresholds, expiry, and availability may change, subject to applicable law. Stakeet may correct points awarded or deducted in error.
14. Wallets, withdrawals, and taxes
Deposits, refunds, winnings, fees, bonuses, corrections, and withdrawals are recorded in your Stakeet wallet. Wallet balances are not bank deposits and do not earn interest unless applicable law expressly requires otherwise.
Withdrawals may be subject to identity verification, minimum and maximum amounts, security review, processing periods, provider availability, fees, withdrawal-method restrictions, regulatory checks, and correction of erroneous credits. We may return funds to their original payment source where required.
You are responsible for determining and paying taxes, duties, or reporting obligations arising from your use of Stakeet, except where Stakeet is legally required to deduct, withhold, collect, or report them.
15. Financial-market pools
Pools concerning stocks, cryptocurrency, commodities, or foreign exchange are prediction activities and are not investment advice, brokerage services, investment recommendations, or an offer to buy or sell a financial instrument. Market data may be delayed, corrected, unavailable, or differ between venues. The venue, currency, pair, price type, and measurement time stated in the pool determine settlement.
16. Prohibited pools and conduct
You must not create, join, promote, or manipulate pools involving:
- death, injury, violence, abuse, or harm;
- illegal activity or encouragement of illegal conduct;
- hate, discrimination, harassment, or exploitation;
- private, confidential, or unlawfully obtained information;
- events controlled or materially influenced by you;
- outcomes that cannot be independently verified;
- market manipulation, insider dealing, or deceptive conduct; or
- content otherwise prohibited by Stakeet or applicable law.
You must not:
- use bots, scripts, automation, or unauthorized interfaces;
- collude, create duplicate accounts, or coordinate entries;
- exploit a pricing, timing, settlement, or technical error;
- submit false identity or payment information;
- launder money or disguise the source of funds;
- interfere with security, availability, or fair operation; or
- use prohibited external assistance during a timed competition.
We may investigate activity, invalidate entries, withhold or reverse payouts, restrict withdrawals, freeze funds where legally permitted, suspend accounts, report activity, and recover losses.
17. Responsible participation
Paid prediction pools involve financial risk. You may lose the entire entry amount, and no prediction or payout is guaranteed. Participate only with money you can afford to lose. Do not treat Stakeet as employment, an investment, or a reliable source of income.
- Set personal spending and time limits.
- Do not chase losses or borrow money to participate.
- Take breaks and review your transaction history.
- Contact support if participation becomes stressful, compulsive, or harmful.
We may provide deposit limits, entry limits, cooling-off periods, account closure, or self-exclusion tools. We may also impose limits based on risk, age, location, regulatory requirements, or responsible-participation concerns.
18. Intellectual property and user content
Stakeet's software, branding, designs, text, graphics, and other platform materials belong to BetCraftor Inc. or its licensors. Except as permitted by law or these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or commercially use them without permission.
When you submit a pool question, description, image, or other content, you confirm that you have the right to submit it and grant Stakeet a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, edit, format, moderate, display, distribute, and use it to operate and promote Stakeet. You remain responsible for your content.
19. Privacy and communications
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information and describes applicable data rights. Service messages concerning security, verification, entries, results, settlements, corrections, and account changes are part of the service and may be sent by email, SMS, push notification, or in-app notice.
20. Service availability and changes
Stakeet is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, acceptance of every entry, continuous access to data providers, or error-free automated systems.
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features; restrict countries, states, users, payment methods, markets, or categories; and perform maintenance. Where reasonably practicable, material changes affecting pending paid pools will not retroactively alter the displayed winning or payout rules, except where necessary to comply with law, correct an error, prevent abuse, or achieve a fair resolution.
21. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- Stakeet is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages;
- Stakeet is not responsible for losses caused by events outside its reasonable control, third-party providers, public data-source errors, network failures, or user conduct; and
- nothing displayed on Stakeet guarantees an outcome, payout, market value, or financial return.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct, or any mandatory consumer right.
22. Complaints and disputes
If you believe an entry, result, payout, correction, or account action is incorrect, contact hello@stakeet.com promptly and provide the pool ID, relevant transaction details, and supporting information. We may preserve or restrict disputed funds while reviewing the matter.
Stakeet will review complaints in good faith under the displayed pool rules, these Terms, applicable licence conditions, and applicable law. Any statutory complaint, regulator, ombudsman, arbitration, or court rights available to you remain unaffected.
23. Suspension and termination
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, verification, compliance, responsible participation, suspected fraud, breach of these Terms, protection of users, or platform integrity. Pending entries and wallet funds will be handled according to applicable law, these Terms, and the relevant pool rules.
24. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will provide notice of material changes through the platform, by email, or as otherwise required by law. Updated Terms apply from their stated effective date. Changes will not ordinarily alter a pool entry already accepted, except where required by law or necessary to correct an error, prevent abuse, or fairly resolve the pool.
25. Governing law
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws identified for the Stakeet service and jurisdiction made available to you, without depriving you of mandatory protections that apply in your place of residence. Any forum-selection or dispute-resolution requirement is subject to applicable consumer, gaming, and regulatory law.
26. General terms
If a provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms as part of a restructuring, financing, sale, or transfer of the Stakeet service, subject to applicable law.
27. Contact us
Questions, complaints, and support requests may be sent to hello@stakeet.com.
